10 New Year’s Resolutions for a healthy 2020

Hi Loves! First of all: I hope you had a wonderful Christmas time. For me, it is the best time of the year since when I was little. Second: Happy new year! I wish you all the best for 2020 and don’t forget about your resolutions. I took these pictures below in December already, when I was visiting a Christmas market with a good friend of mine. The skirt I am wearing is from My Jewellery Size down because it runs a bit big on the waist! The red scarf is from H&M and I got it in the Christmas sale. Christmas time can be very expensive but sometimes you find the right items that have been on your wish-list for a long time.

So, everyone is probably talking about there new year resolutions and how they already broke it. Personally, I find it hard to stay close to my goals because there is so much going on in my life. Especially in 2019, it has been a rollercoaster. So my focus for 2020 will be on remembering my own resolutions. That contains writing them down, reading them out loud for myself and adjust them to my personal situations.

As being ‘healthy’ is a big part of my life, I would like to dedicate this post to this topic. Being healthy can mean a lot of different things, it is different for everyone. For me, it means regular workouts, enough sleep and a positive mindset about my body. Here are my 10 top new year’s resolutions for a healthy life in 2020:

  1. Regular workouts
    around 4-6 per week. Even when you are unmotivated you can maybe go for a little walk?
  2. Prioritize your sleep.
    Get at least 7 hours per night. You can track your sleep so easy on your iPhone!
  3. Take a look at your alcohol consumption.
  4. Make a work out routine that works!
    Plan your weeks ahead to schedule your workouts.
  5. Start meal prepping!
    It is so easy and handy.
  6. Watch your mental health
    and the energy you get from others. Try to be as close to yourself as possible. This helps you in making decisions.
  7. Eat at least one fruit a day 🙂
  8. Keep a notebook with you,
    here you can write down new plans or healthy ideas.
  9. Make your plans achievable 
  10. Reflect on your challenges from last year

Chunky Sneakers

Lately, I have been obsessed with wearing white chunky sneakers. They are so much fun to wear and style! I can not wait for summer to style them with one little black dress. These ones are from the brand: Jeffrey Campbell. I got them last month on sale at Shopbop. Everyone can pull this trend off, you can either style them with skinny jeans or skirt, it doesn’t matter. Monthly Favorites | January

January Favorites Shown in one Image

Hi, Lovelies I am back with my monthly favorites. January flew by so fast and I can not wait to share with you my latest buys. Above I have collected the four items I love the most! A camel fake fur coat, a brown cozy knit, checked pants and white Dr. Martens. I invested in these pieces because they are all good basics to have in your wardrobe. I can not wait to style them in different ways, keep an eye on my Instagram page!


Oversized Teddy coat: As you can see in my last month’s favorite I already got a smaller teddy coat then this one. However, days can be really cold in the winter so I needed a longer one to keep me warm. Mine is from Missy Empire , they kindly delivered this one in less than three days. I am super happy with it!

Cozy brown Knit: I have been looking for one like this for a while. I got mine at the Zara sale last week. It is still in stock and very cheap at the moment! Zara oversize turtle neck sweater

Checked Legging: This item has been on my wishlist for a long time. I couldn’t find the right one but I had good luck at the Zara sale again. It is from their basic collection and it fits so good. Back in the days when I was younger leggings were my everything. It kind of feels good to be back with wearing them again.  Find this one here

White Dr. Martens: My white Dr. Martens are from Shopbop I am so happy I own them! They fit really nice, it takes some time to walk them in, but when you have they are perfect! I can not wait to wear them during springtime combining them with a cute leather skirt. Shop my Dr Martens here

My Favorite Fall Skirts – Sale

Hi loves!

Lately, I have been really enjoying going out and about. Although I love staying at home every once in a while, I did plan so many stuff in October and November. They are my most busy months of the year. Events, meetups, parties, school again. During fall and winter, I have so much good and new energy. I think that I change every year the most during these months. My creativity level is really high and I try to give that part of me as much attention as I can. Not only in summer you can wear cute skirts, fall is the best season for that! I wear skirts all the time and I thought it was about time to share with you my favorite ones.



White boots for Fall

Finally, I am back and I couldn’t have been happier! I needed some time off to focus on my studies, I still have a few important exams coming up. But… I can not wait to share you my new items. Fall is so beautiful, the weather in the Netherlands is amazing lately and I am shooting so many different outfits at the moment. This one is in partnership with Lulus. I love to wear white during this season because it is in contrast with all the pretty fall colors. You probably have seen the amazing amount of different white heels and boots this summer. Well, you can still wear them now. I have paired them with white jeans because I liked the clean effect. Image wearing a colorful sweater, what shade would you go for with shoes? Black booties would maybe feel a little bit too dark for a sunny fall day. You have gotten to a point when your upper body screams spring while the rest of you is full of winter colors.

Feel your Best | Summer workout Routine

Hi my loves, how is your summer going? Maybe you are enjoying the beach all day, or maybe you are working your ass off to get some savings for the winter? However, I hope you will get some time to chill and relax for a bit. Growing older, I find it harder to get the time to do this. Especially as a blogger, you always have some work to do. I got a lot of questions about my fitness routine on my Instagram lately. It is time to share my favorite work out gear and how I stay fit and healthy during summer.  As many of you know I eat about 80% off the time vegan since last year December. It has a major impact on my body. My hair and nails grow insane, I feel energetic and well – rested. I really want to change this to a 100%, but I am still learning about this lifestyle. I am taking this step by step.

My summer workout routine consists off:
– Horse riding twice per week
– Going for an every day run ( around 45 minutes )
– 3 times per week weight training in the gym ( legs + booty workouts )

These workouts together make me feel the best ever! I never liked running and now I do this every day. I even feel grumpy when I do not go for one day. It clears your head and gives you a stronger mindset. In the pictures I am wearing some active wear from Stronger. I love this brand! My shoes are of course my well loved Fila’s. Important: Change your mindset from ‘how I look’ to ‘How I feel’

Very often I just wanted to be lean, skinny and in perfect shape. Just like all the Instagram models. Now I just want to feel good and confident within my body. I feel less stressed when I work out. I feel stronger, more beautiful and fit. The pressure is high to look GOOD in your swimsuit. But who is going to say you don’t? It is about how you feel in your bikini, not how you look. I see so many girls with so much body confidence, it is amazing. If you can change this mindset, focus on how you are feeling, you feel great and more motivated to actually work out!

Set up a routine

To start : set up a routine which suits you. What are your goals? And how often do you expect yourself to have time to work out? ( or make the time haha ). I am working out for 3 years straight and my routine changed every half year. Sometimes a different routine matches a different time in your life better. In the summer, for example, you will have more time !

Take a look back ones in a while to see how far you have come! This is my biggest motivation !

My go to summer outfit | Faithfull the Brand

Sitting in my room, where it is still 25 degrees, listening to some music. Summer evenings are the best. I love to stay up late and watch the sky full of little stars. Trying to write a blog post during the day is a waste of time, I never have enough inspiration or words to tell you. I just had an argument with someone close to me, we talked a lot, which was needed. Soon after I sit here behind my desk, looking for the right words. Is it weird? Maybe, but always after something hard, I feel so motivated to go and move forward. To start things positive again. It feels like a relieve. When some thing is on your mind, which is hurting you or holding you back from happiness, tell someone. Or the person which is involved in the situation. Although it might hurt the other one. That is though, but it can bring you closer together.

Writing has always been one of my passions. From keeping a diary, to writing little stories about animals when I was younger. The decision to start a blog was easy. Now I am fortunate enough to tell you that I am working on something so cool! It has been my biggest collaboration so far and it makes me super happy to add these brands to my collection. I will share a few items today, starting off with this amazing bag from: Faithfull the Brand. How cute is it?! This is definitely my go to summer outfit. Besides the fact that I love to wear dresses around the summer holidays, I also have a big love for Skirts. This dress is kind of a combination. It has a gap between the bottom and the top, which I think is so cute. You can adjust the bow however you want, you can even leave it. But I prefer to make a knot and let it be in his place.

Right now it is an hour later, I have written the blogpost, checked all the data and it is ready for tomorrow morning. Sometimes I have to pinch myself, I feel so amazing and happy that so many of you are reading my posts! I get a lot of comments in the mailbox everyday and I am so glad that you guys are giving me this positive vibe.
