Life Update: How COVID-19 effected me mentally and physically

Life Update: How COVID-19 effected me mentally and physically hi lovelies! This blogpost has been on my mind for a while but I couldn’t find the time yet to write it all down. I don’t think I can explain everything in words, but I will try as much as I can. So, COVID came last year. This had major effect on me, I think more then I thought it would be. I am a very creative person and I need to feel alive. I love connecting with people and all these things weren’t really possible during the lockdowns. I tried to stay really positive, focusing on the good things in life: daily walks, time to recreate my home and I focused on staying close with my friends. We had dinner together and that was all so fun! MENTAL In the long term, the experience of COVID and the constant anxious feeling of getting sick took a bit of my smile away. I was always really excited about life and I saw the good in everything.…

Why putting yourself first is really worth it

Have you ever heard: ‘you have to do it for yourself’, ‘love yourself first, before you can love anyone else’? It may sounds selfish, life is not only about you. But in fact, it is. Putting yourself first is a topic which is often spoken about, but what does it mean to you? Lately some changes in my life made me realize how important it is to go 100% for yourself. No one is going to get you where you want to be. Because you matter, whatever your dreams, goals or situation is. Putting yourself first means taking care of your body, let it rest in time, treat it well. Your body is your souls home. If you want to feel good happy and energized you should listen to it. It can be anything from cancelling night plans so that you will get enough sleep or by just shutting of your computer for an hour. Everything in your life benefits from already these small changes. Also, putting yourself first means loving yourself. By every…

How I really feel about Instagram | Diary

I was thinking about writing this blogpost for a long time now and I finally found the courage to put the words out: Instagram has a major influence on me. Daily. We may not admit it, but just like other social media applications it does. In negative and positive ways. I can not imagine how young children grow up differently now compared to my life when I had their age. It is not a surprise that brands or organizations call us ‘influencers’. We are ( now I speak for the other bloggers out there ) a huge part of this social media hype, even if we do not want to. As a blogger you need to be out there and to be honest, I may see my IPhone screen more hours per day then my boyfriend… That sounds almost sad right? Maybe it is, to other people. But even with the impact of social media: I love that this is my part-time job. This does not mean that Instagram does not have an influence on…

But, enough rambling for today.. let’s move on to today’s topic I want to talk about. I see so many girls dying over big bloggers: ‘so perfect!’ or ‘I want her life!’ and stuff like that. I know growing your blog can be hard and it may looks impossible. Today I wanted to spread some positivity to tell you how much you can actually do when you are a small blogger!  Close with your audience First things first: having a blog is already a great! Be super duper proud about it. It is your little place on the internet, which you…

Outfit of the day | Into The Woods

Into the woods. Last weekend I went to ‘t Leidse Hout with my boyfriend, it is a pretty but small forest nearby the city. I am obsessed with fall and all the fall colors so we had to make some pictures. I wore my long light brown coat, that I bought last year at Zara. It is my favorite one, I love it so much! With the cold wind, you definitely need a long coat to keep you warm. To make this outfit complete I wore my over the knee boots
